The moment. My question to you is, do you live in it?
So easy is it to get lost in the worry of the future or our experiences form the past, but how often are we ever just here and now, living in what is rather than what will be or what was?
Because when we are in the moment, well that’s where the magic happens.
The moment is like a beautiful wave and we are the surfers. As the wave comes the surfer's role is to paddle only enough for the wave to then carry him. And then, as he is now riding the wave, it pulls him through a captivating water tunnel, encompassing him in an experience that is truly breathtaking….
And that’s what the moment could be for everyone one of us. But, do we not more often get lost in the illusiveness of control…
As we become the surfer who seeks to tell the wave what direction we want it to go or take us, we impose or own expectations of the wave, even expecting the wave to come at a certain time.
In any of those instances, the moment is then fleeting. For we have lost sight of the wave entirely and our focus has become attuned to everything but the wave.
The wave is just meant to be ridden. Your experience in riding the wave is but a journey and the wave itself is the guide.
I believe that the more often we can exist in a space of BEing, in a space where our minds don’t wander to the worry of the future or our lessons from the past, but we live in what is, the more often we can truly experience the magic in life. Because what control do we really have? In thinking of the moment, like the wave, what control do you have over a force of nature.
Ride the wave my friend. Ride the wave.
Always Love
